You may not see a lot photography posts here for a while because I’m working on a show down at Swift Creek Mill Theatre. Honky Tonk Angels is far from high-brow, but it’s great fun if you’re in the mood for some good singing and sweet zaniness. I did take the production photos for the show… well, the ones that I wasn’t in (Tom Width took those and I did the edits).
Headshot Teaser: Anne Chapman
I love my job! I meet the coolest people! Anne is a casting director for a lot of the movies that are shot here in Richmond. While we were doing her photos last week, she let me pick her brain about what she looks for when she’s flipping through stacks of headshots. So, not only did I have a lovely time chatting about kids and mutual friends, I also got something of a one-on-one professional education class.
Ginnie, Nancy McMahon, and I took our Madeline Hatter and Death around the neighborhood on Halloween.
We saw some scary stuff.
Including our good friend, Robert Throckmorton, who is the king of Halloween!
And some pretty cute things, too.
When we got home, we turned on the disco light…
… and watched Josie chase the lights all over the walls.
We’re pretty easily entertained.
Karsen turned 16 this week. Unbelievable! We had a family celebration at PF Chang’s, and she invited her boyfriend, Jake. I thought he might be intimidated being surrounded by a bunch of women that he had never met before, but it didn’t seem to bother him at all.
He was very charming, and they were very cute.
It took Chick forever to eat her dinner, but she was determined to master the chopsticks. I used a fork.
The 2015 Richmond Theatre Artists Fund Calendar was released at the RTCC Awards earlier this month. This is the third year for the calendar, and since this year’s theme is Hollywood Glamour, I was beyond thrilled when Liz Hopper agreed to costume our leading ladies. Here are a few of them.
