On a whim, I entered this photo of Piper in a contest for Nashville Paw, a pet magazine in… well, Nashville. She didn’t win, but she did get an honorable mention and her picture in the magazine. She’s thrilled. Can you tell?

I’m not usually excited by snow. I really don’t like the cold. But it’s been about nine years since we’ve actually had any of the white stuff, so I decided enjoy it. The dogs enjoyed it, too! Even Alice, who usually HATES to be wet! And here’s our cute little cottage in the snow.
