Rising Seniors – It’s That Time of Year!

This was my favorite session from last year. Allison Gilman’s family owns a farm in Glen Allen, and we did her senior portraits there. It was so fun to have cows, barns, fences, silos, and beautiful fields as a backdrop. We loved the cows the most!

Our crew met my sister Amy and her kids up at the National Zoo the week after Christmas. They had a light display up for the holidays, but the big cats and the kids were the most entertaining.

Grounds for Sculpture

Early in December, I took a trip up to Philly to see my dad. On the way home, I stopped at my friend Pam’s house, and she took me to this amazing place called Grounds for Sculpture. It’s a 42-acre sculpture park in Hamilton, NJ that was founded by sculptor and philanthropist, J. Seward Johnson. Wine in hand, we walked around for a couple of hours in the freezing cold, and found something magical at every turn.

The Berron Family

I dropped some rather large prints off last week for the Berron family. I wish I had thought to photograph them while I still had them in my hands because they looked great!

This was a really fun shoot! Mom, Dad and three boy – the youngest were 18 month old twins, Sam and Lou – met me at the Carillon early one Saturday morning. We couldn’t have picked a nicer day!

Emlyn Crenshaw

It was almost three years ago the last time I did any photos of Emlyn. At the time, she was a sophomore in high school and needed a new headshot. Now she’s a freshman at Georgetown University. I hear she’s having a great time, but I bet she misses Pippi.

The Clark Parents – David & Kim

A few years ago, I did a maternity session with Erin Thomas Foley that included a beautiful shot of her, her husband Tony, and her yet unborn daughter, Sophia. It’s a lovely picture, but not something you post on Facebook when you work with children. She has a copy of it on the dresser by her bed.

Kim Clark, who nannies for the Foley Family, came upon the photo one day while looking for a binky (or something… I don’t remember). Anyway, Kim had the crazy/fabulous idea to surreptitiously replace that photo with one of herself and David.

Did I mention that David and Kim are a little bit crazy? I love them so much!!!!

Clark Kids – Cameron & Bailey

I took these photos for David and Kim Clark the day before Mother’s Day. (Incidentally, I got a tick bite the next day that is still itchy!!! But that’s another story. Nevermind.). Anyway… They seem like two nice, normal children, don’t they? If you knew their parents, you would wonder how in the world that happened. (I’ll explain in the next post.)
